Senior Associate

Miles Pedersen is a Certified Family Law Specialist (certified by the CA State Bar Board of Legal Specialization) and a Senior Associate at Flicker, Kerin, Kruger & Bissada LLP. He has prior experience in both family law and estate, trust, and probate litigation. Currently practicing exclusively in family law, Mr. Pedersen handles an array of complex matters related to dissolution, including high-asset property characterization and division, premarital and postnuptial agreements, property transmutation issues, support, custody and visitation, and post-judgment modification.

Mr. Pedersen is a member of the State Bar of California, as well as the San Mateo County and Santa Clara County Bar Associations. He was recognized as a Super Lawyers® Northern California Rising Star in 2020 and each subsequent year. Super Lawyers® is a third-party rating service, who evaluates attorneys based on twelve factors including peer recognition, professional achievements, and community service. They award the Rising Star recognition to the top 2.5% of attorneys under 40 or in practice for less than 10 years.

Mr. Pedersen received his Juris Doctorate from University of California, Hastings College of Law. While in law school, he received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Law & Economics and the honorable mention award for best brief in Moot Court. He graduated magna cum laude from Loyola Marymount University with a B.A. in Sociology. While at LMU, Mr. Pedersen was an active member of Delta Epsilon Iota National Academic Honor Society and Alpha Kappa Delta International Sociology Honor Society. He was nominated for Valedictorian Speaker and the Presidential Citation Award for Academic Excellence, Leadership, and Service.

During law school, Mr. Pedersen interned at the Legal Aid Society, San Mateo County, in the Family Advocacy Program, and in the family law department at Flicker, Kerin, Kruger and Bissada. After graduating, he clerked for the Honorable George A. Miram at the Superior Court of San Mateo County, Probate Division, while also working as a contract attorney in cases involving complex estate planning, trust administration, and probate litigation.

When he is not working, he enjoys teaching guitar, playing basketball and tennis, and being an avid follower of the 49ers and Sharks.
