John Romero

John Romero is an associate at Flicker, Kerin, Kruger & Bissada. Mr. Romero grew up in the East Bay Area and attended University of California, Davis for his undergraduate studies. In 2018, he graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science, and minor in Chicano Studies. While at UC Davis, he was a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.

Mr. Romero received his Juris Doctorate at the University of California, Davis School of Law in May 2022 with a three-year Dean’s Merit Scholarship. During his time at UC Davis Law, he served as Articles Editor for the UC Davis Law Review and was a member of the Filipinx Law Students Association and the Latinx Law Students Association. During law school, Mr. Romero served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Sean P. Dabel at the San Mateo County Superior Court. In this position, Mr. Romero assisted in cases involving divorce, custody and visitation, child and spousal support and arrearages and domestic violence issues. Through this experience, Mr. Romero had the unique experience of examining complex family law issues from the perspective of the Court. This experience ultimately informed his decision to pursue the practice of family law.

Mr. Romero joined Flicker, Kerin, Kruger & Bissada as a law clerk in June 2021 where he worked throughout law school. Following his completion of the July 2022 California Bar Exam, he returned as a Post-Bar Law Clerk and is now an associate in the family law department where he currently assists in a wide range of family law matters including divorce, custody and visitation, domestic violence restraining orders, child and spousal support, property characterization and division, and pre and post marital agreements.

During his free time, Mr. Romero enjoys travelling, hiking, and spending time with friends and family.
