FKKB Celebrates the Queen’s Bench Bar Association Centennial!

Flicker, Kerin, Kruger & Bissada LLP

On Wednesday, April 20, 2021, Queen’s Bench celebrated 100 years at the San Francisco War Memorial. More than two dozen of Queen’s Bench’s Past Presidents were in attendance among the 200 hundred guests. Partner, Alice Shaw, was the 100th year President of the organization in 2021. She welcomed Michèle Bissada, David Erb, Katelyn Benage and guests of the firm to the Gala for a memorable evening celebrating with the legal community.

Chief Justice Tani Gorre Cantil-Sakauye of the California Supreme Court gave the keynote address to an enthralled audience, which highlighted how far women have come in the California judiciary. One could not help but recognize the potential for even more women on the bench in the Golden State.

A highlight of the evening was the debut of an oral history project featuring twelve esteemed long-time Queen’s Bench members. The oral history project was the work of the Queen’s Bench Centennial Gala committee, a group of women volunteering to preserve the stories of other remarkable women and their notable accomplishments in the law.

As part of the honors portion of the evening, Queen’s Bench recognized Past President from 1989, Hon. Angela M. Bradstreet (Ret.) on her retirement from the San Francisco Superior Court.

FKKB is committed to furthering the advancement of women in the law and fostering our attorneys’ volunteerism in the community. The night was a shining example of both commitments.
